Club Activities

Branch Meetings and Executive Committee meetings
Branch meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, starting at 7:30pm, at the Italo Australian Club, on the corner of Franklin St and National Circuit, Forrest. These meetings provide an excellent opportunity to meet other members socially. Some members arrive early to have dinner prior to the meeting, and many members remain after the meeting to chat over a cuppa. The branch Executive Committee meets regularly.

Sunday Rides
There are three different forms of rides to allow members the opportunity to select the ones most appropriate to their skill levels, machinery, health and fitness.
 

  • Decide & Ride - are informal rides where riders who turn up on the day make the decision as to where they wish to go.
     
  • Chomp & Chat - are social rides usually <250kms with a focus on shorter/easier rides and more time socialising, ideal for learners or those returning to motorcycling after a long lay-off.
     
  • Organised Rides - will have a member of the ride committee, they will be on more challenging roads covering between 350 - 550 kms and as such are designed with the more experienced riders in mind.

Mid-week Rides
These are conducted nearly every Wednesday morning starting at 9:30 am; and cover distances from 100 km up to 320 km, with a lunch stop. Details can be found in RO2.

Informal Gatherings

A BBQ is held at the Canberra Motorcycle Centre every 3rd Saturday of the month, (and at Action at Mitchel, every second month), on the Saturday following our General Meetings, with funds raised going to charity.
Some members also get together for coffee on a Saturday morning.

Special Events

· Weekend trips

· Blanket Run (May each year) – raise money and gifts for local charities who support those in our community who are less fortunate.

· Toy Run (December each year) – raise money and gifts for local charities who support those in our community who are less fortunate.

· Social Events (eg Christmas parties, movies, dining out)

· Ulysses Club National Annual General Meeting. This event is held in different locations throughout Australia.
