Four years ago a group of Canberra Ulyssians away for the weekend and on their way to the Air Museum were invited to attend the Temora Anzac Day parade. The visit was such a success that it has become an annual event.
A prompt start in threatening weather at 8:00 am, got us to Temora by 10:30 after a comfort stop at Wallendbeen to remove wet weather gear and enjoy riding on a beautiful clear day. There is a new road, well signed, to Binalong which is now the third exit after the Yass Service centre.
Steve had been particularly inventive on the way and devised a mobile washing machine in his top box.
During the service there was a fly past by the oldest Tiger Moth in Australia [1942] and the RAAF Roulettes.
We returned via Young and coffee break at Yass.
Next year ANZAC Day is on a Friday so put it in your diary for a long weekend Ulysses trip with Temora on the agenda.
