Forster Ride Report
6 Bikes (3 Doubles , 3 Solo) left Maccas, a warm morning. First stop Dungog
for morning tea, that was after two solos had a quick wee stop. Rode on to
Gloucester for our next stop and fuel for some. We then stopped at the Nabiac
Pub for lunch, which was quite nice, and by now it was getting warm.
Arrived at the Great Lakes Caravan Park, Tuncurry, another good spot to stay
perhaps for 2 nights. Relaxed for the afternoon with a few drinks and Chris and
Cindy from the Forster Branch joined us for a while.
Later we were taken by bus to the Forster Bowling Club where we were hosted by
the local branch (App 14) and as usual very good company and a great feed. Left
Forster, breakfast at Coolongollook then next stop Maccas at Rutherford. It
would not be a ride without someone having CB problems. By this Stage Bear and
Jim had had enough, one phone call to Dale McLean and they were on their way
back to Caves Beach. The rest of the crew home via Lambs Valley. A good and safe
ride enjoyed by all.

Toy Run Ride Report
We met at Maccas with a good roll up. Departed for Sandgate. Left Sandgate at
10am(a report of 7000 bikes) traveled into the top of Newcastle Foreshore.
Crowds gathered along the way . A young boy on the footpath gave Bear a teddy
bear (that was nearly as big as he was himself) to hand in as well. I think our
Bear had a lump in his throat to think a young child would be so generous. After
a while a few of us headed out to Caves Beach pub for lunch. A nice lunch and
then home via Coorangbong and Cessnock. A good day had by all.

Ride Report Coffs Harbour Meet and Greet
Friday morning 3 bikes and 1 car , 8 people all up. Left for the Coffs Meet
and Greet via Armidale, and Dorrigo. It was a great ride with great views( very
hot) Arrived at Coffs and booked in and mixed with about 250 other Ulyssians.
The weekend was like a mini AGM, BBQ’s. entertainment. Guided rides, bus
transport to and from the Club with many raffles and novelty prizes to be won.
If the planning and the running of the weekend is anything to go by we can
expect the Coffs AGM to be one of the greatest ever held, very impressive.
We returned to Singleton by the same route as we traveled up, safe and sound and
dry all the way.

Left Maccas Singleton with 7 Bikes only, one solo via Putty Rd to Colo
Heights, short beak, then on to Mittagong via Picton for fuel and a wee
break(Short) Then on to Kangaroo Valley for lunch, as usual what a great
ride.(And Views) One bike tyre was getting low on rubber. On to Batemans Bay a
very cool ride by everyone. Arrived safe and sound. Very nice place to stay, a
great night out. One of our ladies tried to show Mark and Uncle how to consume a
vast quanity of port. 12 heathy people, one not so healthy left for Cowra via
Canberra a very scenic ride.
By the time we stopped at Maccas at Yass, that tyre that was low on rubber was
like me, going bald. To lighten his load , Keith took on a passenger. Next stop
Cowra, consumed a few ales at the Motel before going to the Club for the evening
meal and some more drinks, then back to the Motel for a few ports(No contest
tonight).
Up bright and early, the bike short on rubber left for home alone early. The
group refueled, then travelled on to find a place for breakfast. The rain
started, and on went the wet weather gear, had breakfast at Cudal of all places.
Whenever you get a chance, try their Big Breakfast, its worth the stop. On
through the rain, fuel at Gulgong, coffee at Merriwa, then home. Top Ride, Top
People. PS: Old Baldy arrived home safely.
