Why I purchased my current motorcycle

It’s a sports tourer with more emphasis on Sport than Touring, which I considered to be the logical next step after riding sport bikes for the previous 15 years but now wanting a lower revving engine and a straighter riding position

Why I Ride

The feeling of being closer to the country side I’m passing through on a ride, plus carving awesome corners – feeling all the opposing forces interacting and balancing out and setting up to do it all over again for the next corner

Bikeography

Leant to ride a 50cc Honda minibike on loan to my family when I was about 8 – then a postie bike while on holidays as a teenager then nothing until I got my license in 1992. 1992 bought a 1989 Suzuki GN250 for my L and P plate period.
1995 bought a 1984 Honda CBX750F. Did multiple trips between the Eastern state capitals on this bike (Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra) and the transcontinental run from Sydney to Adelaide to Perth and return. Clocked over 50,000km in 2 years.
1997 bought a (new) 1996 Yamaha YZF600R “Thundercat”, kept it for a long time while we went through the mortgage and raising kids period.
2009 bought a (new) 2008 Triumph Sprint ST 1050 (ABS)
