Ariah Park
Weekend Run 11-12th
October
Denis & Lynette Furness
A group of eight bikes headed south
along the freeway. The roads offered some challenges along the way
with obstacles to keep some alert. We stopped at Yass for fuel
and food before heading over to Temora via Harden. Arrival at the
Temora Aviation Museum was in time for the start of the aerial
displays.
The group enjoyed the display of very
rare planes and exhibitions before heading over to Ariah park in the
early afternoon. Upon arrival at Ariah Park we were greeted by a lot
of bikes who had been on a "Bikers for Boobs" run. After going in on
the fund raising we settled in for drinks and a review of the days
events. After drinks we enjoyed a fantastic dinner. In the morning we
headed home via some back roads un-travelled by bike due to the
unexpected dirt. Better luck next time Denis, I think the short cut
must be another road.
Morning tea at
Murrumburrah offered a chance for
Diabetic Bob to catch up with some old friends then we traveled over
to Murrumbateman for a great pub lunch. The final leg was via
Bungendore, then Goulburn and finally along the freeway.
Thanks Denis & Lynette for a great weekend.
