Deakin University Motorcycle Rider Survey The Ulysses Club has been approached by Lauren Gook, a researcher within the Deaken University, to alert members to a survey being conducted as part of a post graduate study by her. It will take about 15 minutes of your time and I assure you that you will actually learn something about your riding habits as you do the questionnaire. As part of the survey you are invited to tick the box asking if you are a 'Ulysses Club member' so the results of the over 40's participants will be particularly interesting. We can also get a copy of the final summary by ticking the part asking for a copy to be sent via email at the conclusion of the survey.
The existance of the survey was mentioned in the Forum some time ago but some members may have missed this.
Here is part of Laurens' reasons for the survey:
As part of my post graduate degree in psychology I am required to complete a research thesis. My thesis is looking at how various motorcycle riding behaviours (e.g., wearing protective gear, riding at night) are related to the risk of having an accident, as well as how riding behaviour and crash risk varies with age and sex.
I am currently looking for Australian licensed motorcyclists to complete my confidential online survey at :
http://www.deakin.edu.au/psychology/research/motorcycling/
I would also really appreciate it if you could forward this email to everyone you know to help complete my research.
Thanks
Lauren Gook
