| Bunbury AGM 27th - 29th March 1998 |

Greetings from the sunny west! Arrangements for the Annual General Meeting are well underway and in the paper issue of Riding On you will find a Registration Form. If you want one sent to you, email agm@ulysses.org.au Most of the planning is complete and the committee is now gearing up for the rush of applications. Bunbury is a great tourist town (actually it's a city) with many attractions. Dolphins in the bay, lovely swimming beaches, coastal scenery south 'round to Augusta some 150ks away. There are many wineries within an hour or so of Bunbury and Busselton, 50ks south of Bunbury, is one of the oldest towns in WA. The jetty, which point due north, juts out into the ocean for 1.5ks. Worth a walk! Inland from Bunbury is the apple growing area of WA. Donnybrook hosts an apple festival each year, and though the apple season will be over by the time you arrive, the town is worth a visit. South of Donnybrook are the Jarrah and Kauri forests for which WA is justifiably famous. A visit to Nannup, south east of Bunbury, is recommended. It's a timber mill town in the middle of a forested area and has many craft shops. Some of the Bunbury members are planning guided rides through these areas and there are several tourist coachlines in Bunbury who run tours. We are planning on this being a very successful AGM and look forward to meeting as many of you as possible. Alf Bridle |
