Sunshine Coast
Hello form
the Sunshine Coast and welcome to all members in our
newly formed Group. Whilst we are a very informal Group,
our numbers are growing every week and it's great to see
new faces on our rides.
Our meeting venue has now changed to Kawana Waters
Stewarts Hotel on the waterfront, on the first Wednesday
of each month, with dinner at 6.30 and the meeting in the
conference room at 7.30. This arrangement seems to more popular, with
our numbers swelling at our first one in July.
We have had some great rides so far this year, most
recently in June a Poker Run arranged by the Vintage Bike
Club in Gympie. The weather was great and organisation
excellent, with lots of good prizes. Unfortunately, none
went to our Group. If only Don had drawn a ten on the
last one, would've scored an ace high straight to win. Oh
well, lots of 'if onlys'.
In June our Group rode to Woodford to join other Groups
in the area for lunch and to Wappa Dam for a BBQ lunch.

We also decided on Sunday, December 7th for our annual
Xmas Toy Run, with final details to be discussed in the
future.
As relative newcomers to the area, Bernie and I are
amazed by the lovely country around here, whether it's a
ride along the beach areas or the beautiful hinterland.
In closing, if you are a Ulyssian living in our area, or
just visiting, go for a ride in good company. Ring either
of the above numbers or just come along to the meeting.
