Ulysses Club Inc. Constitution Review.

The Constitutional Review Committee (CRC) in collaboration with the National Committee (NatCom) have completed a review of the current club constitution.

The constitution had to be reviewed due to changes in the NSW Associations Incorporation Act 2009 and the Associations Incorporations Regulation 2022. Legislation included a model constitution that was a base document for the development of our updated draft constitution. NSW Fair Trading included the following statement in correspondence to organisations.

“Where an association has adopted the Model constitution and wishes to make any change to its constitution, the association will need to adopt a whole new constitution, including the changes, as its own constitution”.

There were too many changes to list individually. We ask that you read the entire constitution to ensure you have everything in context. Once you have reviewed the constitution the National Committee would appreciate any comments you may have. Please send all feedback to the National Secretary ([email protected]) by COB Friday 1 December 2023.

Once the feedback period has ended, the NatCom and the CRC will consider all member feedback and amend the draft constitution if considered necessary. The updated draft constitution will then be sent to members on the 1st of January 2024 for their consideration prior to tabling at the 2024 AGM for voting by members. Postal voting will be allowed, and further information regarding the postal vote process will be provided.
