The Ulysses Club will once again be running a fund-raising raffle for the Ulysses Club Arthritis Research Fund (UCARF). The raffle will be drawn at the Ulysses Club National Rally at Mandurah in March 2024. The Club has been able to put together a great list of prizes which is headlined with a MY23 Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT motorcycle, which includes registration and on road costs. The total value of this prize package is $13,990.00 so it’s a truly fantastic first prize.

- Multifocal motorcycle safety glasses package valued at $500.00 donated by New Eye Company
- 5 MultiPressor and tyre gauge packs valued at $109.90 donated by Rocky Creek Designs

Tickets are $5.00 each and will be in books of 20 and can be obtained by contacting Mike Abberfield by telephone 0423379848 or by email [email protected]. Tickets will be distributed by mail and banking and return instructions issued with the tickets. We do encourage Branches to get involved and order books for sale at their branch meetings and activities.
What a wonderful legacy our founder, Stephen Dearnley, left us with when he initiated the concept of the Ulysses Club’s major fund-raising activity to be arthritis research. Over the years hundreds of thousands of dollars has been raised and invested into various areas of research, with many small gains but the elusive cure for this insidious and disabling disease is still to be found.
Our fundraising dollars attain maximum value with all funds being directly distributed to research facilities at the Bone and Joint Institute at Royal North Shore Hospital and Monash University with no funds eaten up with administration costs or fees. Many of us are suffering from the effects of this disease and are most likely benefiting from medications and research results that have been found due to our ongoing investment.
